The suffering of the Russian minority in Estonia

The Legacy of the past is hard to erase

Russians don't feel at home in Estonia

Some 2 million Russians live in Estonia, forming 20 percent of the total population. They are the offspring of Russians who came to live in the Baltic state when it was still part of the Soviet Union. They were born in Estonia, regard it as their home, but they remind Estonians of a bitter past of occupation and suffering
